WHAT IS A BROKER?

A broker is a legal entity defined as a representative of its customers. Its compliance with the legal criteria set by Republic of Turkey, Under-secretariat of Treasury and Foreign Trade, General Directorate of Insurance Business is certified by a certificate.

If a broker commits a fault or negligence against a customer, then it will bear the resulting liabilities. It is an obligation of the broker to protect the rights and interests of its customers.

A broker has the capacity to work with all insurance companies in line with the preferences and requirements of its customer. It is that feature of a broker that makes it different from an agent. The broker represents not an insurance company but the insured. A broker is an independent and impartial entity at an equal distance to all insurance companies.
