  Survey on Insurance Attitude and Behaviour …

Results of “Insurance Attitude and Behaviour” survey, commissioned to Nielsen by Association of the Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Turkey, were released to the general public at a press conference held at Swiss Hotel on 14 April 2009. This survey, which is very important for gaining a deep insight into Turkish people’s attitude towards insurance, took place in 17 cities with 3300 participants.

It has been said that this survey would be the first leg of a series of advertising and communication activity designed to develop insurance awareness and intended to be broadcast on national channels, as well as on other various spheres.

According to the report, the insurance owners heavily accumulated in monthly income range of TL1000-2000. It has also been indicated that 45% of the insureds are university graduates.

Age groups and purchased coverages are as follows.

House and compulsory earthquake insurance is preferred by people aged above 45,

personal retirement (priva pension) is preferred by people aged 25 to 34,

private health and life insurances are preferred by people aged 16 to 24.
