After openings Mr. Lecevnt Nart presented the historical development of
Product Liabilty, it is last status in Europe and USA and directives. In
this presentations comparisons in and between EU directive, USA
applications and situation in Turkey have been mentioned in detail.
After Mr. Nart’s speech, Prof. Dr. Samim Ünan who is the President of
Turlish Insurance Law assosacition and lecturer at Law School of
Galatasaray University, has talked about problems of manufacturers face
to due to ppecial items on defective products commercial contracts and
their solutions.
After these speechs speakers answerred participants’ questions.
All questions proved that all manufacturers have
product liability risks and here Product Lİability Insurance has a great
importance. All participants were agreed upon that such an important and
vital risk can only be covered by a consultant’s like NART and such
organisations help and it must be worldwide.
